We believe that the Haigh Family was closely interwoven with the Holt Family with a number of inter-marriages over more than one generation.

Charles Haigh (baptised 1795) married a Martha Holt (daughter of John Holt and Mary Holdsworth)

Luke Haigh, Charles' brother, (baptised 1799) married Fanny Holt (Martha's sister).

Charles and Martha had at least 6 children
